The use of anti-corrosion by means of metallization can be used for all metals, and therefore the applications and benefits can be called endless.

Below you will find a wide range of applications used by our customers & partners.

DCS 's progressive approach focuses on high-quality and durable corrosion protection as well as the internal production process. In addition to a high production speed and optimum quality, robots and machines developed in-house ensure less physical strain and more variety for our employees. DCS is also the first company in the Netherlands to be certified for the  IMA CSR standard  for corporate social responsibility.

The lock gates at Krimpen aan den IJssel are the first construction work to be carried out within the framework of the Delta Works. The doors were installed in 1958, only five years after the flood disaster of 1953. Between 2008 and 2010, DCS blasted and metallized the entire construction for this structure, which is so important for the protection of the Netherlands against the sea. The engine rooms have also been completely refurbished.

In the video above, the costs - benefits of TSA are clearly explained on the basis of a case.

Social gain

Other well-known objects in road and hydraulic engineering that DCS has contributed to are the Erasmus Bridge on the Kop van Zuid in Rotterdam, the noise barrier at Dordrecht, the railway bridge at Nootdorp, the locks at Krimpen aan den IJssel and many others. Durable corrosion protection immediately results in social benefits because important arterial roads do not have to be closed as often for maintenance.

want to treat during operation with

TSA (Thermal Sprayed Aluminum). An

daring task in a petrochemical

installation. While applying

TSA is used and created open fire

high local temperatures. Given the

presence of highly flammable substances,

this potentially poses major security risks

with him.

Solution: in close cooperation with

Shell Moerdijk has Bilfinger Brabant

Mobile made risks manageable.

Corrosion under insulation or CUI is a major problem for plant owners. Our client BP Raffinaderij Rotterdam also struggled with this problem. Poorly functioning insulation and large temperature fluctuations create an ideal climate for the corrosion process. The insulation also hides the surface from view, which often makes inspecting pipes and installations for corrosion difficult. A thorough maintenance program is necessary to guarantee the integrity of the installation. BP recognized this long ago and is therefore running an extensive CUI program.

PROTECTION PREVENTS LEAKS AND ACCIDENTS

Over the years, tens of thousands of m2 of insulated pipework have been blasted and preserved. Insulated piping systems designed in the 80s and 90s -or renovated during that time- show serious corrosion problems after a period of sometimes as little as 10 years. Through timely intervention, stagnations in the process, unwanted leaks and even accidents can be prevented.

CUI PROGRAm

In order not to disrupt the process during the execution of the CUI program, most of the work is performed in an operational installation. This requires a thorough approach and also great safety awareness. Van der Ende has extensive experience within CUI programs.

Griekspoor: THE BRIDGEBUILDERS

The Netherlands has more than 1,500 movable bridges, which are also a familiar sight in the water-rich west of our country.

Greek Rail manages and maintains a large part of these bridges: large and small, historic and modern, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical. Wooden, concrete, steel, composite and UHSB bridges. We do this on a contract basis so that you don't have to worry about it. We also realize new bridges and replace existing ones, both fixed and movable.

DURABILITY

In our management and maintenance we focus on sustainability: life-extending, circular, and less harmful to the environment. We attach great importance to the environment and therefore always experiment with new sustainable materials. We use wood with the FSC quality mark for wooden bridges.

PRESERVE

The preservation of steel and metal objects is extremely important for the durability and appearance of an object. In addition, the preservation of steel objects has positive consequences for the lifespan. Greek Rail is specialized in preserving steel. We can take care of the conservation of steel objects for projects in various disciplines. Our coating process is always structured as follows: degreasing/cleaning, blasting, scrubbing and then wet painting.

Mechelen Station
The design of the station is strongly inspired by the shape of the old Vierendeel bridges that are an extension of the station hall and functionally ready to receive more train passengers comfortably and safely.

The wave movement initiated by these bridges continues in the design of the station building and thus symbolizes the city of Mechelen in motion.

Project: Mechelen station, Belgium
CLIENT:
SNCB STATIONS / EURO STATION (B)

ARCHITECT:  SNCB STATIONS / EURO STATION (B)
PERFORMER: Tunet

DURABILITY

In total, the contract includes 1000T of structural steel, mainly S355J2+N and S355K2+N. The roof is no less than 210m long, and consists of 3 spans that tower 15m above the platforms.

In terms of corrosion protection, the designer has resolutely opted for protection with zinc. The designer's preference has always been for protection by hot-dip galvanizing, insofar as the dimensions of the zinc baths allow this. More than half of a total of 1000 tons of structural steel is galvanized.

Metallization was the solution

It was impossible to galvanize the larger construction parts of the awning.

These are by Tunet metallized and airtight finish.

Kinsbergen Bridge, Den Helder

On behalf of Griekspoor, Braspenning has been able to make a significant contribution to the renovation of the Kingsbergen Bridge in Den Helder.

The aim was to make the Bridge maintenance-free for at least 15 years. For this reason, the choice was made to Metallize large parts of the bridge.
The bridge was renovated in just 6 weeks.
By means of Schooping and metallising with EDCO equipment, the bridge is now protected against corrosion.
