The Association of Industrial Surface Treatments in the Netherlands (ION) has appointed EDCO as the Practice Trainer for the Professional Competency in Metal Preservation (Metallizer).
And that's not for nothing!
The 40 years of experience in metallization and an always consistent quality, make the difference in professionalism for ION. Our knowledge needs to be shared as much as possible.
This means that (in addition to the official training of ION) we offer the possibility to guide and/or train teams at the start of a new project on application, safety, and efficiency. But also, for example, on maintenance of the metallization installation.
This can be done at our location or at yours.
We are happy to pass on our knowledge to other professionals in the field.
Metallizer course
The quality, durability and lifespan of steel objects strongly depend on the quality of the conservation. Objects such as bridges, flood defences, locks, offshore platforms, ships, gas pipelines and rail infrastructure are of great importance to our living environment.
These metal objects are often located in industrial areas or come into contact with (sea) water. This aggressive environment causes untreated steel to corrode. Proper protection of these objects is of great importance. The vast majority of defects in the preservation layer are due to application errors.
Well-trained and knowledgeable employees with the right skills are a must to maintain metal objects.
To ensure that the knowledge and craftsmanship is demonstrably present, the standards ISO 14918 (Approval testing of thermal sprayers) and ANSI AWS C2.16 are used as the starting point for the Metallizer course of the ION.

The Association of Industrial Surface Treatments in the Netherlands (Vereniging ION) is the industry association for anyone active in the surface treatment industry.
​
Surface treatments include: chemical/mechanical pre-treatment, electroplating, enamelling, powder coating, (wet) painting, anodizing, hot-dip galvanizing, metal preservation, and much more.

This means that (in addition to the official training from ION) we offer the possibility to guide teams during the start-up of a new project or to train them in applications, safety, efficiency, but also in the maintenance of the metallization installation. This is possible with us, but also at your location. We are happy to give our knowledge away.
A refresher course is of course also an option.

For whom?

The course is intended for all employees who carry out metal preservation work and for the employees who directly manage these activities on the work floor (foremen, foremen or project leaders).
